Hi every living creature on this BEAUTIFUUUUL PLANET!!! =) Okay so this week of science class was kinda short because we had no school on Monday. ( Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day!!! =)) This week week we had no school, saw the Inauguration of PRESIDENT OBAMA!!!=), went over the study guide, had a test, went over the onion root work sheet, and did a sheet on mitosis.
Monday: NO SCHOOL!!! =) YAHOO!!! HAPPY MARTIN LUTHER KING JR. DAY!!!!! =)
Tuesday: We Missed science class because of the Inauguration. We had 5 min. though so we asked questions on the study guide. YAY!!!! (I mean awww!! =))
Wednesday: We took are unit test.
Thursday: We just went over the handout on onion roots. I'm pretty sure all my answers were wrong on the pervious blog so please don't listen to them. =0 =)
Alright here's what our class got:
4. I think number four was the only one that was really wrong. Any way it was what's happening to the root cells?
Cell reproduction. The cells are splitting into two. First the cell that has a darker nucleus means DNA replication is happening. Then the cell with a nucleus that is near the bottom is getting ready for cell reproduction. Next so much DNA stuff is replicated that the nucleur membrane bursts. Finally two new cells are formed and organells and membranes develop. I think.
Friday: We learned that Mitosis is cell reproduction.
We started our H.W. for the weekend which is a sheet on Mitosis. The website for the H.W. is http:www.cellsalive.com/mitosis.htm
