BOOYAH!!!! I AM GOING TO EAT THIS PROJECT!!!!! x) xp !!!!!! Okey-dokey every one the long awaited genetic variety of my beautiful bugs has arrived!! This blog is about da BUG project!!!!
Genetic variety played a very important role in my bug's family! Without genetic variety everyone would be the same, act, the same, and look the same. If not for genetic variety things wouldn't be able to evolve or adapt to the environment.
For example, three of my bugs have butt lights and one doesn't. If for some reason they lived in a dark place and couldn't see their food they would have to evolve. My bug would start out ss or homozygous recessive for butt light. After a while the bugs would breed until the next generation was Ss or heterozygous. Then they would all have butt lights. After years and years the next generation would eventually be SS or homozygous dominant. Then all the Reebops in the world could see their food. Yay!!
Another reason why genetic variety played an important role in my Reebops is, wings. Again, three of my Reebops have wings and one doesn't. If the buggys were being chased by a nasty meano predator they might evolve to develop wings!!! So my buggies would start out with no wings the over time wings could become dominant and all bugs would have 'em!!!! Yay!!!! No more mister meano predator!!! Be happy my little bug children be FREE!!! Woah okay got caught up in the moment... LOL
Not done... Gonna fix later!!

Okay yay!!! Class ended so yeah I'm editing it...
Okey dokey here we go!!! Yeah so like how some butterflies developed camouflage so when they expand their wings it looks like they are an owl!!! Then the birdies don't know if they should eat it 'cause it looks like an owl!!! Sorry, I forget the name of it... Oh hey I found it!!! It's actually called an Owl Butterfly!!!
Also genetic variety helps camouflage. Yep like some of my Reebops are green and some are brow and green. Genetic variety helps because if every bug was one color they would all get eaten easily. But, if genetic variety is used not all bugs have to get eaten easily. Like the brown and green could help them blend in with rocks, dirt, and leaves and things.
The same things apply to eyes. Black eyes could help the bugs blend in better. Or, red eyes could scare off predators. Even legs and antennae need genetic variety. Long legs could be used to get places faster and short legs could make narrow escapes. (My buggies only have short legs... However they have feathered and curved and feathered antennae!!! =))Feathered antennae could helps sense things and curved and feather could fit in places that the bugs crawling in better.
So in conclusion:
Genetic variety is very important for my Reebops and all species. Without it all species could not thrive. Whether its eyes, legs, antennae, color, wings, or even butt lights genetic variety is extremely important. There are a whole lot more cases of how important genetic variety is like the Butterfly Owl and camouflage. Genetic variety is essential in life.
Okay!!! That's it!!! I conquished this project!!!! (Hahahaha!!!! LOL get it? Nevermind... LOL!!! =))
Well yay!!! All done!!! With this part... Still I finished something today!! YAY!!! =)
