
Wednesday- We looked at the results for the whole grade who has Mr. Finley. Then we wrote about the data. Here's what I wrote:
Does the graph for the whole grade show what ur resultz/predictions were?
Yep!!! Da data from tha whole grade does support the class data. Tongue rolling for example is shown dominant on our data and dominant for da whole grade.
Whatz the benifit of using more people for a survey?
The benifit of using data from the whole grade rather than just da class is we see more people and da resultz r more general. Like for dimples in our class the number of people without and with was the same. However, the number for da grade was like 19 to 31.
Hw: make cells and lable traits on them.
Thursday- We talked about dwarfism and how it's a dominant trait. Then Dominic came up with a great theory that punnet squares were only the estimate for one child, when we were talking about little people big world. Like there is 75% or what ever % chance a kid will be something.
After that we talked about the lab we r going to do:
We r going to put the genes and stuff we made for hw yesterday in a cup and shake it. We then pull out two genes and test our punnett square. We record the phenotype and genotype as well. Draw punett squares too!
