Yo peeps!!! Only like 12 days left of school!!!! XD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAAAAAAAAAHHHHOOOOOO!!!!!! Okays so like this week:
Awright!!!
Mon.: Mooonday rocked 'cause we had a STUDY HALL!!!!!! XD
*Then it sucked 'cause Fin got hurt!!* T_T (Don't worry he says he'll be fine.)
Tues: 'K on Tues Fin was out again still recoverin' so he gave us assignments to do online...That never ended!!!! O.0 Okay so like it was an online text and questions on things like da Earth, atmosphere, water cycle, pollution, weather, an' da greenhouse effect... You know, the basic things.
Wed. Fin was back! Yay! =) okay:
So we did experiments on perception and evaporating things. Okay so first, Fin took a tube put water in it and corked it. Then He put it over a bun son burner and whamow!!!! The Cork shot right off!! Then he took a match and blew it out inside a bottle with a tiny bit of water in it. He then squeezed it, and when he let go a cloud appeared inside the bottle! It's magic!!! Okay so for H.W. we had to explain how this happens. We also went over the text from yesterday.
Thurs. On Thurs. we went over da H.W.
Okay so maybe it isn't magic... LOL!!! First I'll explain the tube:
When Fin placed it over the burner the energy from the burner (don't say heat since u can't really explain heat...) made the water particles move faster. The kinetic energy was transferred from the burner to the glass, to the particles and finally to the cork.
Awright! Da bottle:
The high pressure that was built up when the bottle was squeezed led to faster particle motion, which led to evaporation. The low pressure when the bottle was released led to slower motion and vibration of particles, which led to condensation.
We also did an experiment with a metal ring and iron ball. At first the two wouldn't go through each other. Then when Mr. Finley heated up the ring, its particles started moving faster through the transfer of kinetic energy and the ring expanded. So the ball could now fit through! He explained it also works the opposite way when you freeze one of the items, because its particle motion slows down.
Then we did some online simulations that showed how a micro wave works and how starting a fire with books works... *kids don't try this at home!* =)
H.W.:
We had to explain how a thermometer works and why you are always cold when you get out of a shower.
Fri: Well the seventh grade girls had a very interesting bus ride to Dorney... And I didn't die on the Talon!!!! *However I slit my leg open on a stupid four year old log ride...* T_T I'll be fine it just hurts and looks nasty... Goes to show how dangerous a stupid log really is... Only I would end up hurt on a stupid ride... LOL!!! Well this certainly was one of the most interesting weeks of my life... =)
XD
Yep!
