Science Class week of 9/14/09 NINJAS!? XD

And here's a close up! =)

Kinda blurry pics but oh well! Drawn by the fabulous me! LOL XD

Yo everyone! Alrighty then it's another fun year of blogging! =) 'kay soooo on our first week back we got into the topic of light. What it is, how we see it, what we need to see and all that crazy stuff. XD

So now for the big Q's

Q: What happened in science class this weekish week?

A:We started our new topic on light. We learned about lasers and how we our able to see light. Mr. Finley asked us how it is light travels and how we can see a laser dot on a wall. We experimented and found out that when we ran a laser beam through a running faucet, you can see that the light wave is straight and traveling.

We also concluded that the reason we see a dot is the wave length bounces of particles in the object like a wall. Also we can see it through water or chalk dust because there are enough particles for the light to bounce off of. We see because light bounces off of particles and goes into our eyes, but there isn't just one ray there are many going all over the place all the time. It is impossible to see without light no matter how hard you try, the reason we see at night is because there is some light coming off of the moon, street lights and things like that. To see we need, light, an object, and our eyes.

Q:Why should we know these things and what do they relate to in the real world?

A:Light relates to tons of things, like if you were going to by some spy secret agent NINJA thing then it would be important to know that chalk dust makes lasers show up. Yup and if you were going into space and stuff you need light 'cause you might go into a part of space where light doesn't reach that spot very well. Also you would know that being an electrician is a very important job. Thats what I came up with... -_-'

Well not many people are writing that much soooo I think this's good. LOL XD
