Yo peolpez!!!! Okay sooo this week is supossed to be a little different. We are supossed to blog about what we learned from our class experiments. Welll my group, Paige, Dan, and David tested which materials cockroaches prefer...Ex. table, cloth, or sandpaper. Yeahhhhhh! =) Well we found out cockroaches just what to ge the heck out of there, but OHWELLL!!!! It was still fun!! =)
So what did I learn about experimental design?
I learned that your procedure has to be really precise step by step info. We changed measurements and data a LOT so you should be ready to re write procedures and edit your test. P.S. do NOT write in pen T_T!!!!! =)
Make sure to have a good table and be willing to adjust things nobody's perfect. =)
Have someone working on recording results and doing the experiments. Stay on TASK!!! LOL! =)
Also make sure to discusse conclusions with your group and tell everyone what happened. No one left behind!!! So yeah this experiment helped because I thought I wouldn't need to erase things but I did. We also had to run a ton of tests and make sure the test was fair. Like we made a spinner so we had to spin it and make sure the cockroach was facing different ways all the time. I thought the xperiment would work but we kept having to fix things and switch cockroaches. We also had to go in after school a lot because we sorta got a little distracted...LOL =) I guess it really goes to show expect the unexpected!!! =)
